Not in Western Oregon. Lately, it has been overcast and in the mid to upper 70's. Even an irritated gopher would like it out here. We seldom have extreme weather, except when an occasional huricane collides with a tornado(kidding, of course).
Almost. About 88 degrees and counting!
It was yesterday, but today is a bit better. Tomorrow will only be 70. Yay! And I like hot weather, but I've had it with this.

  • Does God Exist? Where does God live? When is he going to listen to mother nature?

Yes. Everywhere. and why do you think that mother nature is above Him? He created nature, it is she that bends to His hand.Does God Exist? Where does God live? When is he going to listen to mother nature?
LOL.... What's the bumper sticker I saw? My Goddess gave birth to your God. Always listen to your mother!Does God Exist? Where does God live? When is he going to listen to mother nature?
I take your use of ';God'; to mean divinity/spirituality in general. As a divinity, God may or may not be a concrete, human-like entity with physical characteristics.

God might exist. Can't really disprove his existance, although we can't prove it either, but the potential presence of divinity can't be ignored.

If divinity is real, than it could be found everywhere. It's possible that it might manifest itself into discrete, concrete forms, but it would not be barred from any part of the universe. Therefore, divinity is essentially everywhere.

Because it's everywhere, divinity is the exact same thing as mother nature. It would be impossible for God and nature to be opposed to one another, since either one created/controls the other or they both created/control each other. It'd be like your brain and your heart: they're both parts of the same universal whole, connected with and reliant on each other.
God is indeed everywhere and outside time and space.

';Mother nature'; is merely a descriptive set of rules that define certain observable cause and effect relationships, but don't create anything.

Why would he listen to something that can't think or speak?

Will the human race ever live in peace or is it human nature to fight and kill?

War (or lack of peace) does not exist because humans like to fight. The root of war is justice. For most of human life, war existed to take from others what we wanted for ourselves: land, power, opportunity. Survival was dependant on war.

In the present day, war occurs when we decide that intervention is required. When we say; we are not going to take it anymore.

If you choose peace, then you must be willing to let others be wrong. You must be able to pick up the pieces of your life and walk away, no matter what was done to you. That is peace. If you are the kind of person who cannot let someone ';get away with'; hurting you, then you are the obstacle to peace.

War exists because we don't want to lie down. We want to keep what is ours. Will the human race ever live in peace or is it human nature to fight and kill?
It's in the nature of some powerful assholes that believe they will achieve something by killing a bunch of innocent people! Will the human race ever live in peace or is it human nature to fight and kill?
its definatley human nature for all eternity
I'm going to have to say that conflict is human nature. It has been that was since the beginning of time.
With George Bush as president of America, The only placed the world is heading for is for destruction.

Is it any surpise that the rest of the world hates us, with the likes of Bush %26amp; Blair representing 'Us'!!
probaly not unless all the races combine in one race we might have a chance. but i don't want that not that its wrong but i like all cultures and i don't want them to go away even though i'm mixed w/ nicaraguan, costa rican, indian, chinese, and english.
Sadfully I believe that there wont be peace because of most peoples lack to treat others as they would want to be treated .
    one day soon
Instinctively we are still animals and fighting is a natural part of animal mentality. Our ideas about religion, and ability to create technology just wakes our fighting bigger and scarier.
The day that our Lord Jesus Christ comes for us. that is the day that humans will be in peace.
Yes they will live in Peace according to Psalms 37:9-11

9 For evildoers themselves will be cut off,

But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. 10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
The base human instinct is fight or flight. The second is kill or be killed.

With our basic instincts being so violent, I doubt humans will see the year 3000
It is in the nature of human to try to destroy themselves, though they have the ';freewill'; to choose another path, a path that has greater perils. MAN has a tendency to choose the path of lease resistance; which is this case is the ath of WAR.

Small minded men thrive on war; since they, themselves don't have to do any real fighting.

    I would like to see the men who start wars, placed in ring, like the ';gladiators of ancient Rome, and battle it out to the end. In the days when the right was the ';victor.';

This would save allot of innocent people from dying on both sides of the battle.
There will be no peace as long as the parasite known as the human race infests the earth.
If there was no Dark, Light would be meaningless. it's just the way things are - Yin-Yang

we, Humans, as any other system in the Universe, are ruled by this principle. you would never remember names like Mandela, Guevara, Jesus Christ if they hadn't lived surrounded by 'Evil' forces.

    keep fighting for the Good!
We will all get along... once Jesus returns!

    ~ Tiger By The Tail
as long as we have instincts that make us fight and kill, we will never live in peace, the only way we can live in peace is when they invent a way to control our thoughts and actions, and it seems like they are gonna raise the price of gas some more also
Unfortunately, humanity is cursed with free will and varying viewpoints. As long as we all have the capacity to think, there will always be conflict.

    Depressing, no? :(
once every human on this earth is dead, then there will be peace.
I think it's in our nature to try to eliminate those we perceive as weak...Darwin's theory of evolution
As much as I wish for peace and equality, it is human nature to fight, judge, and kill. I don't think it'll ever change, sad as it is.
yeah there would allways be fighting and killing in earth as long as you have SATAN going around causing problems
AHHH, another dreamer. I dream of the human race living in peace. Unfortunately, people have different opinions, different opinions leads to conflict, conflict leads to hate, etc...... Well actually I think, maybe people should have thier own opinions, they are entitled to it. But I also think, people should respect others opinions and not have conflict and hate. Today I asked questions and I was angry at others opinions, but when I thought about it, its their right to have their own opinion. So, today, I learned to repect other peoples opinions, instead of attacking them verbally. Maybe, some day, we will all learn to do the same. Take care.
    No and yes.

We are too selfish and selfcentered to be satisfied and we pretend to be more advanced that wolves but we are not - we kill more than they do and more viciously.
I am not sure if its human nature to fight and kill, but it is human nature to seek power, control and territory.

Fighting and killing are TOOLS used to satisfy the need for power, control, and possession of territory.

And there is much manipulation used by our leaders to justify the use of fighting and killing. As Michael Moore so clearly showed in Fahrenheit 911, the sons and daighters of congress people and senators aren't signing up for the military. If they so believe in the use of force, why is that?
    and history says...

    fight and kill.

it sucks, but the world is full of evil. we just have to do the best we can and live to try to make the world better in all ways possible.
I've been asking myself this same question for a while now. I wish I could say for sure that we would live in peace one day, but I can't say that with confidence.
Its gonna be nature, as long as theirs scottish people, iraq, and different religions

    face it
I have a theory-people, especially men, eat way too much meat and don't have appropriate outlets for their stress. It is perpetuated by all of the violent T.V. and video games. If people ate a more balanced diet and could find ways to deal with stress that is healthy, then they would start to notice all of the beauty in the world, all of the positive reasons to live a peaceful life.
yes. when christ finally comes and takes control of all things. but as lond as there is islam, it will be impossible.
Think that the nature of all animals is fight, defeat others, but that it's an instinct.

The humans are thinking more than 50 years ago, so in a couple of centuries, the human will live in peace

You're born, you live, you die - just like everything else in nature. Why make it more complicated than that?

It is not complicated at all ... we just like to make it that way ... I try to make life real simple .... breathe, eat, work, love my children .... and love my friends .... like you Jenn ....

BTW ... elbow is a little sore ... but much better .. thanks for asking! You're born, you live, you die - just like everything else in nature. Why make it more complicated than that?
You are already complicating it, by asking this very question.

While it seems simple, you still live to fill in the details. And there's no simple way to do that. You're born, you live, you die - just like everything else in nature. Why make it more complicated than that?
Passions and fears makes the ride bumpy my dear. Hope brings the balance we seek. It's not that easy for us. If we had the brain of a lizard things would be different.
    First of all.

    Asians=Awesome.

    Second...You shouldn't.

    Life is to be enjoyed,

Why waste the short time you have with it on bull ****?
    Because it's boring :/
    Because then I get bored
    because we are human
cause some people just arent satisfied i guess...
because its not just about living and dying is the real concern. its the experience that makes it exciting

Hark; the Magpie is caroling his sweet song

As the dawning creeps over field and wood.

Gone the moon who’s crescent floated across

The dark velvet where Orion had once stood.

    “ooo-cree-cha-cree-cha-chigga-woo-ja”

    Gently sounds the Yellow-bellied Glider.

While slowly and with deliberation the

Blue Tongue Lizard stalks a Huntsman Spider.

Before the sun tips the graceful Blue Gums

I listen to a crescendo of musical sound

As Lorikeets welcome the dawns arrival

And Bats from groves fly homeward bound.

Awakens all nature on this glorious new day

And the Echidna seeks his breakfast of ants.

While the Platypus tumbles the rivers stones

As she paddles her way through aquatic plants.

Cockatoos warm their toes on overhead wires,

Perched as musical notes of a well known score

Waiting for the Kookaburra to laugh them all in,

What more wanders can this new day have in store?

Lucky I am to spy in the dawn a Chubby Gungan,

A brown frog in this place I happily call my home

Where creature's of every kind come to my hand.

I try to, but I don't have any of the species mentioned in the poem running around my house.

Be content where you are--what a pleasant concept.

Mother wants to abort dad wants the child, child, by nature wants to live?

is it a reasonable compromise for the mother to carry the child and hand him/her over after the nine mts. like a surrogate? the upside to this is everyone gets what they want in the end, mother puts herself out briefly and the father and child get a chance at a long relationship with each other.

    is this reasonable/unreasonable.

(dad agrees to pay for any surgery to help restore your body)Mother wants to abort dad wants the child, child, by nature wants to live?
It's a fair deal. Besides; what's nine months anyways? It's a bit of time that's all. And no, I'm not going to worry about why I didn't want to get pregnant and get all bent out of shape; whether I've been there or not; it makes no sense to me; life always goes on whether or not I'm mad, sad and or glad. So, let's make the best of it. Now I have a question for you. What are we going to do is through the course of time I fall deeply in love with this child I'm carrying for you; what then?Mother wants to abort dad wants the child, child, by nature wants to live?
    compromise we shall Report Abuse

Child by nature wants to live eh? How many teenagers have you met? Seriously though Juno was a fantastic movie, and I commend any women who would carry a baby just for the sake of the baby and someone else. However I am also pro choice and believe every case is different, it depends a lot on weather or not the mother and father have plans on staying together (it is drastic on a child to later learn that they were born as a burdon to the mother and things have a way of coming out in the wash like it or not)finacial situations, and last but not least if the mother has a drug problem including drinking it is not fair to the child to be raised in such conditions.
I think it is unreasonable for a man to make a decision that involves a woman's body. You see, he has the choice in the beginning not to create the life with someone who does not want it. If he is that concerned with what happens to his sperm once it enters a woman's body he must make the wise choice not to put his penis in a woman who does not share the same values.

If he does not make a wise choice, once his sperm leaves his body and enters the woman, she has the final say.

While I do not believe in abortion I also do not believe in a man complaining after the fact (after he gets someone pregnant) one way or the other. You must know who you are having sex. A man can exercise self- control and self pleasure while he dates and finds someone with the same values and then marry her and then have sex with her. Then he wouldn't be in this type of situation.
I think it's a reasonable comprimise. I'm a huge believer that both should exercise self control. the man and the woman. but if the only reason for abortion is that she wants her body back and he agrees to pay for it. then it is a resonable suitation. The child is only half the mother and the rest is the father DNA making the child a completely sepreate person from the mother but taking up space in the mother womb. If she really doesn't want to have the child. she should sign all legal rights up to the father.
unreasonable as a natural bond forms between the mother and child in the nine months which is difficult to break just like that.Dad should look for someone totally willing to be a surrogate if he wants only a child without a family-but the bit about paying for the surgery is always welcome!
Nope, not reasonable. It's her choice.

She can give the baby to him, but she still is a mother when she doesn't want to be.

What about men who abandon the woman whom they've impregnated?

Until a man can birth a child, he has no say in whether or not a child is carried.
Yes it is reasonable if they are married.

Marriage has an inbuilt assumption that a child would be born out of wedlock. Let us not talk of those ';exceptional'; cases, where married people do not purposely want to have children.
jwinning %26amp; Laela put forth the only reasonable answers %26amp; compromise to your inquiry. Reread %26amp; comprehend what they are saying. That will be best for the child, who indeed should be the focus here.
no it's not reasonable. it's not the fathers body that will be going through the pregnancy. his lifestyle doesn't have to change, just hers. her body her choice.
the mother needs to stop being selfish and have he child, abortion is cold blooded murder and the father has a say when its his child. this woman needs to learn responsiblility
it's still a woman's choice to be a surrogate or not. taking away choice returns women to the dark ages when men ruled.
I don't think the mother should have to carry the child. This is where an artificial womb would come in handy.
Yes, responsibility is reasonable to the child. A father is not a surrogate when two have sex outside a marriage and a child is conceived.

    Edit:

If the mother exihibits hatred for human life she should be held accountable to carry her child for nine months and no, unless she wakes up the father of the child should not marry a woman who would request such a thing.

The action of sex does not involve your body ladies? When two become one during sex because you are sharing your body with person out of wedlock or within marriage and so is the man...that's just your body involved? If a person fails to accept the reality of how life comes about then do not engage in sex until you do.

I totally am against this ';it's my body'; excuse because a child relies on a woman's body to grow, however is an individual, proof being THE MOTHER who wants to abort seems to feel entitled to individuality but not the child that requries a mother's body to birth. What's the point to say ';I have a body'; while at the same time there is no mention of a child who has a body also. Go to a playground and look at the children laughing and playing and then come on here and try to convince society that little girls and boys who grow into adults don't have bodies. Yet you have a body? I agree that a woman has a body and so does a man. People know that already.
Pregnancy puts a huge strain on the body, above and beyond that surgery can put right. It leaches your bones of calcium, changes they way the body functions forever, and has been linked to many future health problems.

Once there's a way to grow a baby outside of the womb from conception to birth, then the guy can have this type of say. Until then, there's such as strain on the woman that he can't force her. The fetus at the point you can abort it does not have wants or even reponses (early on) btw.

I do understand the issue though - at a personal level, I would consider it immoral if the girl doesn't at least discus these options with the guy, but I can't see a way to legally enforce it that wont produce more problems.
A fetus' brain (or even an infant's brain) is not sufficiently developed for a child to understand the concept of ';wanting to live';. Maybe Nature aimed for the child to live by having it live until now, but a child ';by nature'; cannot ';want to live';.

    That aside,

';Mothers puts herself out briefly'; - Any woman who has gone through a pregnancy or two or three (etc) will tell you that it is not a matter of ';putting oneself out briefly';. This is, in fact, why most woman would not be willing to act as a surrogate. It is close to impossible for most women to have a child growing within and not to have a whole array of physical and emotional impacts. I'm not going to get into the whole, big, too-much-for-words, thing about the impact a pregnancy, itself, has on a woman. Just because a few women are willing/able to act as surrogates that does not mean all women can/would be willing/able to handle that emotionally.

The surgery remark: Not all pregnancies/deliveries result in bad things happening to a body; but even if they do, offering to pay for surgery to fix it is, again, not having any idea that surgery is a big deal for a lot of people. Some women would rather live with damage than have surgery. Others would rather not have the damage in the first place and never NEED surgery.

Also, it is generally not in the nature of most women to be able to carry a baby to term and then just ';hand him over';.

Go to the ';adoption'; section of answers, and read about some of the heartache that birth mothers have when they ';hand over'; their baby for adoption. They don't just have it for a few days. It can last a lifetime. Not wanting to go through with a pregnancy and even not wanting to have a baby don't mean a woman is capable of going through the pregnancy and handing over a baby she has carried for the whole time.

Women generally don't want to go through a life of heartbreak, and many worry that being adopted will cause problems for their child as well.

Women generally want what is best for the child they have, and what is best isn't necessarily not to have one's own mother. What kind of thing is it for a child to know his mother handed him over to his father - and then disappeared.

Some women believe there are worse things than being aborted early on. Also, some expectant mothers don't believe the baby's father would make a very mature or capable father.

Men need to be ';men'; when it comes to understanding one thing: If you risk an unwanted pregnancy with a woman who doesn't want a pregnancy you're going to risk having to deal with her getting an abortion you don't want her to get.

Before people risk unwanted pregnancies they need to know, for sure, the views of both parties on abortion.

Men need to also realize that a woman who says she wouldn't get an abortion may just change her mind if she's faced with a pregnancy she doesn't want.

In your proposed plan, the only person who gets what he wants is the father. The mother who may believe that every child deserves a mother who wants him and who is able to be a good mother to him doesn't get what she wants. The baby doesn't ';want'; anything. As far as being killed goes, some women believe that stopping a baby from developing early on is more merciful than allowing him to be born to a mother who doesn't want him (and - one way or another - will give him away). (I'm not necessarily defending abortion - only pointing out how some people think.)

Your plan sounds like the plan of a very young boy, who has no idea about the implications/impact of pregnancy on mothers-to-be. No, it is not reasonable.

What is most important in our development, nature or nuture? If we cloned Adolf Hitler and had him live in..?

Greenland under an assumed name in the year 2045, would his clone also be a mass murderer? What is most important in our development, nature or nuture? If we cloned Adolf Hitler and had him live in..?
No, Hitler was shaped by his experiences. Early in life, he was a painter. He even tried to get into a prestigious art school, but was told that he just wasn't good enough for them. Also, he fought in the first world war and saw the senselessness with which foot soldiers were thrown into the meat grinder. Along with other things, these events led to lingering bitterness, which, because of the way he'd been raised to believe, he focused on Jews. If he were raised in a loving, nurturing environment, he would be a completely different person. What is most important in our development, nature or nuture? If we cloned Adolf Hitler and had him live in..?
Definitly not. All people are born with the ability to choose between wrong and right and each child is born innocent. In his new environment, hitler would not be brought up with the same ideas or by the same parents or in the same society that was dangerous and facist and moulded by the defeat after WW1. He would adopt new understandings, new teachings, new parents and upbringing, and since greenland is pretty much war-less, the society would be relativly healthy in moulding him.

I recommend you watch the film: The boys from Brazil; as this film depicts a story based on the idea of cloned hitler children and it is also a very good film.
Hitler wasn't some crazy murder who just wanted to kill Jews. He was an immensely intelligent person who, by means of being oppressed in his own country, lashed out against the people who had their foot on his face. Jewish people were in control of a country that didn't belong to them. It wasn't their fault, and they didn't ask for Germany, they asked for a home, and since Germany had just been beaten in WWI and was a crap hole of a country, the Jews were put there to make it better. But the German people are strong and very deeply rooted in their countries heritage so they didn't appreciate Jewish people coming in and all of a sudden having more rights than the people who built the country in the first place. If it wasn't for the overly harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles, WWII never would have happened. As far as your question goes, they are both equally important.
Interesting question, without an over bearing and abusive father and an over protective mother, would he have turned out to be the megolomaniac and sexual deviant that he was? I doubt he would've shown the same mental instability that he developed. what's my basis? none, just common sense, but then again, i'm not a neuroscientist or psychiatrist.
Madness is madness. Nurture cannot change mental instability.
They are both important. Cloning doesn't mean anything. Do identical twins have the exact same temperament???

We live our lives in patterns, we find patterns everywhere in nature. so how does chaos theory fit in?

Is there a universal pattern to be found? or is it just a human truth, our minds built to see and form patterns? We live our lives in patterns, we find patterns everywhere in nature. so how does chaos theory fit in?
no chaos, it's just that the pattern is too large for us poor humans to either see it or recognize it or understand the pattern. Does make life interesting tho'.We live our lives in patterns, we find patterns everywhere in nature. so how does chaos theory fit in?
    It is called Apophenia.
Great question. The patterns we see are all part of the big game of life. There is much to learn in studying the patterns, and one should never count them out. Perhaps, rather than our minds being built to see and form the patterns, maybe, instead, we just do see them and form them. However, success and happiness depend in every way on measures of conformity. This does not mean that individuality must be sacrificed, instead, that the patterns must be allowed for. There are violent response to violations of the pattens which you describe. Interesting stuff. Very deep and a subject which could occupy a person forever, honestly.

As for chaos, chaos is a nondescriptive term which refers to the presence, really, of evil or callous conconformity.

Here is a theory as relates to universal patterns. Very deep, so please inhale.

Lucifer and 1/3 of the andels fell away from God plotting to overthrow Him. The remaining angels subdue them and the old heaven expodes in a violent rage of God. Simultaneously, God enivisions the world and creatures to replace the fallen angels (including Lucifer). In His mind would have been the committment to those angels who had not tried to destroy Him and the unconquerable committment to the new creation-a new order in which injustice would never happen again. Many supernatural forces at work would have caused the presence even of evil people and of people with out a point or purpose. The union of the fallen angels and the evil people would have been those destined for hell as in the Bible. As for the rest, the struggle of their life would be their test for eternity, which is, really, the struggle for good ideas.

The exposion of the old heaven would correspond directly with the Big Bang of the Big Bang theory of evolution. Only the one force would have been applied to creation by God, the initial destruction of the old order or the old heaven. After this destruction, God's work would have been in restoring order fully, but in a new order.

As for the questions of timing as in the seven day theory of the Bible. Science and research verify that the universe is 4.5 billion years old or so, so the Bible cannot be trusted to be taken literally on this issue, unless one considers that the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ as a supernatural occurance of the Big Bang. Before God was the Lord in two parts, body and spirit. Now the Lord is the Lord in three parts, God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. [Here goes some deep science] But perhaps the references of the old testament to creation as a seven day event are not crazy in light of Einstein's theory of reletivity. If God the Father remained at the center of the Big Bang (or moved relatively slowly in comparison to it), or the center of the expanding universe, the Lord Jesus Christ would have been on earth awaiting birth and order from God the Father. Far from the hurdling earth, by the theory of reletivity, God the Father would have seen the event as a seven day event. However, the Lord Jesus Christ would have understood the human or earthly viewpoint that the the earth (and the universe) are 4.5 billion years old. Man, receiving messages from God the Father through the angels, who answer to God the Father, would have had only the explaination of God the Father of creation.

Very interesting that, of the Trinity of the Bible, God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ each might exist and have a unique viewpoint.

So, maybe both the theory of creation and of evolution are correct!

Living things do live in patterns, even birds and trees and so forth, so never lose faith in your thoughts. Your thoughts are the formations of success for you. You might think of yourself as building a foundation for success with your thoughts and actions. However, making certain to correctly divide between your thoughts and any meaningless or pointless thoughts which may arise in your day to day endeavors, will determine if you are able to reach or sustain success or how quickly you are able to reach success. Success is a lofty perch which can only be earned through application or hard work, but, if focus wains, failure will follow. Failure is never inevitable, and it is always a growing experience. The only true defeat is in quitting! Just never quit would be the attitude to keep.

As always, the most important thing is to try to find a way to stay focused on success. Success is happiness!

As for the Bible, maybe you could try a reading in Romans. There are many discussions of order in that particular book. Really good stuff.

  • Isn't it true that we live on this planet by nature's consent?

Certainly. We thrive because conditions are right for us to do so. When the conditions change then so will our ability to thrive. It is the same for every species that inhabits this planet with us.Isn't it true that we live on this planet by nature's consent?
we live with it not on it , that is to say evolve with. people to often try to seporate themselves from this planet when we are in fact a product of it.Isn't it true that we live on this planet by nature's consent?
Quite a mealy-mouthed philosophical question, coming from you, prstly one. Stand up and TELL people about God, and our living here by HIS CONSENT. GROW SOME CAJONES.
prstlyone, the aswer is NO-false.Man has learned how to fool Mother Nature. In adverse conditions, such as in the Artic were nature might rule, man has found the way of survival.Nature is historic in it's excistance it may rule with it's omnipotence, but man survives by his wit %26amp; wisdom.
    no by GODS consent
In some sense of the word I suppose that is correct...

There were several time periods on this earth that

human life could not have existed...
This is a statement posing as a question. The easy answer is no, we as men (and women) have learned to protect against nature. That doesn't mean we don't lose some battles. Nor can we ignore our impact on nature. Global warming is a reality whether we like it or not!
    i think so....
Not sure that it's a choice of consent but we are at the mercy of it and rely on it for everything, in fact we are not separate from it at all.
absolutely. no one can deny that. Nature is more powerful than anyone .be it the tsunamis or the cyclones. We are totally helpless in front of them. Nature has given us the consent not only that. it has provided us with all that we need.
No. We live here because God planned it from the beginning. Nature is what He created for us. And He knows every hair that is on your head, who you are, what you do, what you think and it matters to Him. Check it out!

He says there is appointed a time to live and a time to die for each one of us. Nature has nothing to do with it. We control nature...it doesn't control us.

Has anyone ever tried to live in a system completely isolated from the rest of nature (an ';isolated bubble';)?

    Biosphere II (it failed).

Is mankind meant to live in harmony with nature......?

... or are we just kidding ourselves and we are only circumventing and destoying it by our very nature. Is mankind meant to live in harmony with nature......?
Humans is nature buts they thinks they so cool.Is mankind meant to live in harmony with nature......?
Man USED to be in harmony with Nature. The fact is, even though we are still in control, nature, by it's ';nature'; is against us. Yes it will grow, but animals are naturally afraid and hostile to use. (unless trained other wise) Why do yah think weeds grow up for, and poisonous mushrooms ect..

The answering of your question, no... not by a long shot..
If mankind were meant to live in harmony with nature, we wouldn't still be trying to destroy it by eating, caging, and moving animals from their natural environment. We are building, driving, and removing the very things that not only animals, but us as well need to survive on this planet. Yes, we need certain things from nature to survive the weather and live but we have this over blown ego and need to control all things thru power. In doing this, major money is being spent on oil, power, water, %26amp; other, use to be necessities, to keep us controlled and paying for out dated technology that is killing off our earth. Watch Steven Segal's movie, ';On Deadly Ground';, he explains the loss our environment is suffering because certain companies will lose $$$$ and they are not worried about the future of man.
Mankind was never meant to live in harmony with any one or anything, It is man that creates all of the life experiences that are going on around the world today, each and every human being on this planet has chosen a specific life they want to experience as a human being, for most people this concept is hard to accept but it is true, because you can take a million people and each one of them will have a different chosen life experience.
Got put Adam in charge of the earth. He abdicated in favor of Satan. Now, the rest of us have a choice:.....
Each member of the human race is a part of nature.

To not live in harmony with nature is to not live in harmony with ones self.

To harm nature is to harm ones self.

By causing suffer, we ourselves suffer.

We are not separate, but rather one.

May it all be well with you.
I believe we were meant to
The last panda on earth will be killed and eaten by some hungry human.
Yes.Native Americans had the right idea. Then the rest of mankind came along.Humans have a bad habit of being greedy. We were made with the ability to be smarter.Hm.I see who was the smarter one.Nature is ....nature.Man is greedy, destroys.
We are meant to cooperate with nature.
Nature was harmonious until mankind came along.

We are destroying nature, but nature will win in the end.
NO. the only animal on this planet that will cause the ultimate destruction of his home
Of course, we are the stewards of creation, by our intellect.

If we don't soon figure it out;-{ we'll destroy the whole planet.
I really think so, but mankind greed won't allow him to.
    yes, but define nature
It may have started that way...we are a species after all, but once we invented the superhighway -forgetaboutit!
No, that is impossible. We can only prolong the inevitable. What we were meant to do is utilize our supplies ideally. With the evergrowing plethora of knowledge we discover as an evolving species we can not help but to use all of what is feasible.
we are animals. We should be living in harmony with nature. We are actually dependant on nature. Instead of showing nature some respect - We are killing it....

The fashion industry is one of those that is most destructive.
Harmony will return after we rid ourselves of lucifer/the devil/evil. Millions of people are praying and binding lucifer/the devil/evil day and night. In the end, we win.

thing? How ironic. Sacrifies nothing but live for everything. Is it true atheists don't respect or honor their creator or nature nor will die for it but will live for every?
    ';Is it true atheists don't respect or honor their creator or nature';

I love it how fundie will include TWO things.

ONE that I understand and respect and another that doesn't exist as if they are mutually exclusive.

Kid, it's fundie that doesn't respect nature; it's fundie that believes it has dominion over everything; it's fundie that believes the end is nigh; it's fundie that's waiting for Jesus; it's fundie that believes it doesn't matter what happens to PlanetOurs cos they gonna get raptured anyway.

    Etc.

    Why can't Christians be honest?

    Why can鈥檛 they just say:

    ';I know my beliefs are illogical, but I've been brainwashed into believing these things my entire life.';

    OR

';I am too weak to live in this world, without the hope that there is someone watching over me, and I need to believe in an afterlife';.

    OR

';I am too scared to even consider the possibility that there is no God, for fear of being punished by him';.

    OR

';The thought of hell is so terrifying to me, that I have to believe, and be good';.

~Is it true atheists don't respect or honor their creator or nature nor will die for it but will live for every?
I think you'll find that atheists honor nature and their families more than you do, who put god before everything. Sacrifice your family and whatever else you please to your imaginary god, but stop thinking that it makes you morally superior to do so.
    Yes. Absolutely correct, sir.

I am very glad that I am not mentally handicapped enough to die for something that is just a speck of human imagination.
Our ';creator'; is our parents. See, sometimes, when a man and a woman love each other very much, there's so much love it makes a whole new person.

And it's mostly theists who destroy the environment because they think of the one planet we have as disposable.
I respect nature. Are you saying I should die for nature? If you are such a f'in martyr why don't you kill yourself for God right now?
    atheists don't believe in God

some atheists do respect the natural world though
How ironic that these fundies sacrifice their minds for nothing.
Seriously, WTF? That doesn't even make sense.

What the hell are you smoking?
You just don't get it, do you...

  • In early times, humans lived in close association with nature.do you think that the situation has changed.?

Absolutely, if it isn't prepackaged, fast and convenient, we as society don't have much to do with it anymore. In early times, humans lived in close association with nature.do you think that the situation has changed.?
yes, we no longer cultivate food like we used to. now when ever we want something it's off to the grocery store, or gas station. human beings today are at the furthest point of association with nature that we have ever been. In early times, humans lived in close association with nature.do you think that the situation has changed.?
No it hasn't really changed. We may think it has because we get our food at a grocery store instead of hunting for it, but we are still at the mercy of nature. Environmental changes may take longer to effect us (us in the developed world), but drought, flooding, global warming, etc will have a big effect on how we live.

Guess it depends on your definition of ';living in close association.'; If you mean proximity to trees then the answer is yes.
I would say not really. Plus the fact that a lot of ppl don't care about throwing garbage around in the forests where I live and stuff. It would be better if we were more associated with nature like before in some areas.
    Yes.

The change is agriculture. With agriculture, we are no longer dependent on the natural carrying capacity of the land.

Am a nature and green life lover ,where do you recommend i live i Australia ?am not hot climate fan though?

Tasmania sounds the best place for you, over 40% of the state in national park and world heritage wilderness, it has the coolest aveage climate and green issues have the highest profile and impact in the country (about 20% of our state politicians are Green)Am a nature and green life lover ,where do you recommend i live i Australia ?am not hot climate fan though?
To answer your last point, look at Some parts of Victoria, the very south of NSW and Tasmania. They are all fairly rural to some degree and probably greener than most parts of Oz.

You will detest the Queenland and Northern territory climates (and northern parts of Western Australia), but the very south of WA may also be an option.Am a nature and green life lover ,where do you recommend i live i Australia ?am not hot climate fan though?
Tasmania - it's absolutely gorgeous, chock full of wildlife, scenery, and wilderness. It is very liveable with lovely smaller cities and towns. The weather is warm in summer, and cool to cold in winter. You'd just love it.
Practically any climate you want in Australia.

If it is too hot you live south if too cold you go north.
The Southern Highlands of NSW, is best, Green, Clean and Cool all year around. I live there now and I am not moving
nsw -central coast , really beautiful and dosnt get to hot either .

If you were hairy like Patty Arquette in Human Nature, would you live in the woods?

Beset with a condition like hyperhirsutism, and looked upon as freaky, being away from civilization and living nude in solitude would be a likely solution. If you were hairy like Patty Arquette in Human Nature, would you live in the woods?
Never heard of Patty Arquette....I'm pretty furry though. If you were hairy like Patty Arquette in Human Nature, would you live in the woods?
Aside from the ';bear'; community, there are those who see hyperhirsutism as a complete turnon. Kind of a fur fetish. I personally like furry guys and know there are a lot of fur lovers out there. I wouldn't run away and hide. I'd flaunt it for the world to see!!
I could probably get away with it in the mountain town I live in.

Just a throwback from a tree with no branches...

    Live In Harmony with Nature?

What does it mean to you?Live In Harmony with Nature?
To me it means living sustainably and not taking any more than needed. It means living respectfully and honorably with nature. It means living in balance and on equal terms with nature. It means no exploitation and domination.

In other words; not the way we live today.Live In Harmony with Nature?
Ask Bindi Irwin - she's on a winning trail!
I don't know, but the cow tasted good tonight.

Those that live in a sinful nature...?

have their minds set on living to what that nature so desires. Does a Spiritual person whose mind is set on accordance with the Spirit live in the same way of their GOD?

Is it not true that the mind of a sinful man is death but a spiritual mind in accordance with GOD offers life and peace?

Before one says define sins: Hurting of others is a good example.

We all know what sin is and that is a mute point to question. Those that live in a sinful nature...?
HUH?? You're not making any sense AT ALL.Those that live in a sinful nature...?
i agree some have a sinful nature natives drinking habits and lazyness first come to mind its in their dna. i believe all groups even material goods are bunched up and are judged with GODS GRUDGE however as an example on computers one day being robots i believe the vatican etc and governments pray to god that they will take most responsibility for computers lives or to say futuristic outcome a risk factor for robots 6 billion humans however want robots in wars or as maids like slaves. at what cost do my friends and family pay for PEACE AND NO RACIZM alot of inthesium threw war has directed much hatred for 1 billion computers
You seem to change your minds on what 'sin' is.

Not so long ago it wasn't 'sinful' in Christian America to marry 7 year old girls or have black slaves.

Not so long before that, puritan colonial America thought it wasn't 'sinful to execute people for not worshiping the Christian deity...
What god would you be talking about. There is no proof of any gods, unless you class the Greeks mechanical trickery in their temples as proof. I would dearly love to see your evidence as would the rest of humanity. Otherwise you are bearing false witness.

    Practicing Shaman... quantum physics rocks.
I live fine with or without a god. Also, I don't believe in sin. I believe in things that are immoral as they hurt my fellow man. God has nothing to do with morality or how I live my life good or bad.
I do what I feel is right and won't have negative consequences. That's my atheist moral code. So, I don't have a problem smoking pot, or premarital sex with my girlfriend, or stealing from a person who deserves it.
If you want a coherent answer ask a coherent question.
I would much rather lean on SomeOne more Powerful than my'self' anyway. (Humans are unstable as to where God IS Sovereign!)
It is the spirit that gives life,; the flesh isuseless.
You know the 'drill', ';Pity';, just see the 'answers' for yourself to see 'who' has 'convictions' or not. (Consider the 'source'.)
*I just think if I would be ashamed for somebody to know I'm doing it I should not be doing it.
    No sin.
How can you blame anyone for being human?

Where can I live close to nature and yet be within an hour from London?

I'm relocating to London and will need to commute to King's Cross station each day. I'd like to live somewhere where I can do outdoor rock climbing, visit libraries and have a cinema close by. So, on one hand, I don't want to live in a rural village far from anywhere, but on the other hand I would not want to live in the middle of urban London either. A medium-sized town or city would work, but I don't want to be too far from the countryside. Am I asking for the impossible? Does anyone have any ideas? I don't know the area around London at all.Where can I live close to nature and yet be within an hour from London?
Stoke newington N16 has a lovely park with deer and goats (Clissold park), a friendly library and an indoor rock climbing centre, and there are cinemas in Islington, and you can get the bus straight to Kings Cross. It is also a lovely friendly area where it is easy to make friends and meet open minded people. Other than that if you want the countryside on your doorstep you might like to live somewhere near Epping Forest like Loughton but it's very suburban and Tory out there and it's much further out.

  • Would anybody live without technology? (nature)?

I saw this movie and they mentioned this. People living in a humble village with no electricity, mcdonalds, playstations or computers...etc. They had water mills and that was their source of energy, farmers made their own food and for the rest of the village....etc. I thought about it and didnt think it was so bad, having a relaxing, stress free life doesnt sound so bad at all.Would anybody live without technology? (nature)?
Like anything moderation is the key. I am showing my age here I'm 46 I also seen of the modern world appear before my eyes. No kidding my first phone call was on a party line and you had to pick up the phone and see if others were on the line before placing your call. Typically your neighbors were on the same line as you and you listened for the rings to tell if the call was yours . If your phone was assigned 3 rings you answered when it rang 3 times quickly (your Ring). My Grandma's first call was on a phone where you held the phone to your mouth and held the receiver on your ear (as seen in old movies they were called blowers) Think of it as a primitative chat room.

You can drive by reading a map with out GPS believe it or not. People long ago had a better sense of direction and were much more self sufficient ,on the road way at least. Simple old stopping for directions was useful too.

As for Cell phones there must be something to them ,even the Amish type populations have them. I think however they made people in general more of a zombie. You used to do the store with just a list or simply knew what to buy, you never had to call home to just ask. I think Celll phones in a lot of ways made life more complicated. It was better when you thought your self and made decisions with out calling for advise.

As for Fast food It was once a TREAT you dressed up to go to Mc Donalds soda pop was a treat and not part of daily life and even potato chips were a once in a while treat not a staple of the diet like they are today . The Pressure Cooker on the stove top was the microwave of its day. Get this the fast food restrauants were spotless including the kichens and restrooms. Mc Donalds even advertised how clean their places were on TV (1973). Here is another shocker Drive Thews were never part of the first fast food joints, but some did have car hop service.

The old ways had some advantages but so do the new ones know both and you will apprecite the detials of modern life. Would anybody live without technology? (nature)?
I think I could vacation there. But if you really think about it, technology is SO much a apart of us now. WOuld you be able to survive without your ipod, cell phone? COmputer? And I'm sure it is stressful living on a farm.
I don't think that life is so stress free. If there's no water, everyone and everything suffers. At least when living in a more modern/industrial place, if there's no water, it can be shipped in, and you can go to the store for food. It may seem less stressful because of the lack of the crazy amounts of more up-to-date technology, but I don't think it is.

You are correct the people in control of all the money (the super rich) are able to contol everyone and everything. The arms dealers of the world who sell to both sides, they don't want peace, it is in thier best interests to keep everyone at each others throats.

With religion they have been able to keep the population from killing them, but now religion is losing its flavour they have invented a new boogy man for us all to be in fear of..... terrorism .

We've been nothing but puppets and they care for us about as much as they do for a bug. Beginning to think Ike was right they are cold blooded lizzards.
Yes. It's coming. It's coming so fast you won't know how soon it'll come. It'll come down like a ton of bricks, and when you see it, you'll soil yourself.
    ho..kay...

    you do that son.

dont forget your radio though in case the world doesnt end and people forget that you have turned warrior out in the wilderness
You are part of mother nature whether in the wilderness or the city.
Oh yes, the norm of the world has been civilizations come and they have gone!

Best to be prepared, oh yes.
    Oh dude, whatever.
if you do that then you might keep living...whats that about? seems a little selfish. I don't eat popcorn because I love it

Which par of New Zealand has most friendly nature to live on alone?

Happy and peaceful day everyone! :)

I am planning to go to New Zealand in few months, and in my trip I want to include about year of living eremetic lifestyle in New Zealands nature. Not camping, tramping, or hiking, as I am best with sky as ceiling, grass as mattress and rock as pillow.

As I have done such things before and have no problem in traveling to nearest town once in two weeks to buy food and living only on grains and fruits and veggies, basically all I need is as possible warm and isolated place with freshwater to drink.

I need an advice on which New Zealands region would mostly suit me?Which par of New Zealand has most friendly nature to live on alone?
I struggle to understand why you would want to do this and strongly advise against it. As much as I love the NZ outdoors/bush you sound like a accident or fatality waiting to happen if your unprepared. The emergency services in NZ are great especially search an rescue considering most if not all are volunteers. I suggest you do allot more research beforehand and always tell people where you are an what time you will be back.

Of late there have been 2 Aussies tourists that jumped a fence an got crushed/killed by falling ice another young woman survived on weetbix for a few days in a hutt cos she couldnt or wouldnt walk out an that was on a reasonable busy walking track but she was unprepared for the NZ bush. Just after Christmas we meet a English couple going on a 4 hour hike they decided to do spur of the moment, we were walking out an they were walking in she had jandels/flip flop/thongs on her feet he had sneakers/sandshoes a 750mls water bottle an sum biscuits between them we made them see the light an they got back in there car an headed into the city.

Ive slept ruff in the bush an it's no fun especially when I could see my camp 30 meters away but couldnt get across a river due to it rising. I never go alone, there is always 2 or more people an never for more than 5 days unless we make contact with people before we head back. Again do the research and dont become another tourist lost or dead in the bush.Which par of New Zealand has most friendly nature to live on alone?
Hi Hieken, Hopefully someone answers you after me, with better answers.

    1) Autumn will begin in March-April

    2) Winter will be here in June-July

I suggest the top of the North Island, or the Coromandel Peninsula (also North Island) or the top of the South Island (around Golden Bay) but this is very general...and good luck, but enquire as to safe spots. There have been rare accounts of random, senseless violence toward lone hikers and sight-seers, sadly.
    Coromandel is great.

I would also advise north land.

May I just warn you, there have been alot of foreigners tramping or hiking and they get hurt or lost etc which results in alot of deaths.

Please be very careful in our country. No one wants anything to happen to anyone.
I would say the Nelson region - top of the South Island, it's the most hippy / alternative lifestyle place in NZ !

Not too far from the city there are plenty of places you can get lost in your own little world from.
I'd say the Coromandel. Relatively warm for most of the year.

You're a bit spoilt for choice (must admit Im pretty biased!). I agree with the South Island, central otago is beautiful, could get a tad cold though. Then theres the Gisborne region, a beautiful place generally warm, lots of beaches, waterfalls, friendly people etc. And I'd also recommend the Bay of Islands, Paihia or Kerikeri, small towns but large enough to have everything you need. Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip!Which part of New Zealand has most friendly nature to live in alone?
I haven't been there in years but when I went it was a fantastic journey. I would think somewhere around Christchurch or Dunedin would be nice... Up by Nelson there is some nice places too but you'd probably best have a real Kiwi tell you where's best...

What live fish foods can i find in nature?

    how can i get some

how safe is it What live fish foods can i find in nature?
This is a very large subject, Fish Man.

I'm going to recommend two books for all the details:

';Culturing Live Foods'; by Michael R. Hellweg. TFH Publications, 2008.

';Encyclopedia of Live Foods,'; by Charles O. Masters. TFH Publications, 1975.

Both books tell how to collect live foods in the wild and how to raise them in cultures, and the Hellweg book lists some sources for buying starter cultures and supplies. The Masters book has more coverage of wild collecting of live foods. It's out of print, but copies are sometimes available from used book dealers. What live fish foods can i find in nature?
Mosquito larvae are the easiest and most common live fish food found everywhere, including your own back yard. Anything that holds rainwater is a possible breeding vessel for these insect pests but they are extremely nutritious for fish.

If you look under garbage cans, stepping stones or flat rocks where there is some moisture you could find white worms or grindal worms.

Ripe bananas are a source of fruit fly larvae which will soon develop into mature fruit flies.
There's loads of stuff out there however, the problem is introducing something you shouldn't, I've learned this the heard way having introduced dragonfly larvae on two separate occasions, so I went to a mesh covered water butt allowing it to stand, during the summer months I'm able to take blood worm from it, otherwise I avoid collecting cyclops and daphnia now.

    mosquito larva.

and you can culture your own infusoria to feed betta fry and dwarf gourami fry at home...

Wiccans, how do you connect with nature when you live in the city?

I move from the county to the city, and am having a hard connecting.Wiccans, how do you connect with nature when you live in the city?
answer: I would get to a park, walk through garden nurseries or get out of the city to the mountains or the ocean. One thing that helped was having plants and animals around me.

Going outside on a full moon, sitting with your back against a tree and trying to shut out any city noise can do in a pinch.

Hang in there and find ways to reconnect. An herb garden in your window, plants everywhere, getting out of the city when you can - all helpWiccans, how do you connect with nature when you live in the city?
Understand the college and city frustrations. You might find being in the library among books relaxing. Pagans are usually book junkies. :) Report Abuse

I go to parks, and wildish areas around the train tracks, to walk my dog. While I'm there, or on my way, I practice identifying herbs and plants that people have in their gardens. I gaze at the moon and stars, if it is night. If it is daytime, I admire and bask in the sunshine. Dogs can really help with feeling a connection to nature when you live in the city. I find it easier to make excuses to go to grassy, wild areas (they DO exist!!), to let the dog off the leash. I also have to go outside 4+ times a day to let him go to the bathroom.

Also, you can connect with nature in different ways than just being outside. Try baking or cooking - you always have to use plants to cook. You can think about the plants growing, thank the Deity for them, and read up on specific herbal properties (good for those doggy walks too, as mentioned).

I saw a book in a used store, I don't remember what it was called, but it was about identifying nature in the city. It featured plants like plantain (not the banana thing, the green, broad leafed, low lying plant thing) which grow in a HUGE abundance, and have herbal properties, and it reminds one of the smaller critters in life, like snails, frogs, mice, squirrels, ants and spiders. All of these things are nature - and are in CITIES! Try finding a similar book.

Also, you will be absolutely surrounded by CEMENT. Try keeping in mind how cement is formed - it is sand, lime and gravel I believe (I could be wrong about the lime). These things are of the Earth, and represent the Earth element. Try meditating on this, and realize how much closer you have grown to the elements - fire (combustion in cars and electricity coursing through wires), earth (cement and other building materials), water (puddles in the street, water running through gutters and drains and pipes everywhere), air (the smell of different people, all the chatter in the airwaves, all the cell phone signals bouncing around, the smell of foods). Just because you aren't surrounded by grass and trees all the time anymore does not mean you are not surrounded by Deity and the elements at all times!!

    Best of luck!
Learn to take care of house plants. My sister has a veritable garden in her house. I ,on the other hand, kill anything green in days. I have a horrible black thumb. ;-)) But I do buy myself flowers when I can because I love the smell of fresh flowers. You can even do flower boxes and plant a small herb garden or vegetibles. I agree with finding a way to get to public parks, take long walks-good for excercise as well- check out your local zoos and national parks. Find you local farmers market and start frequenting it. Best deals are towards the end of the day when they are getting ready to leave. You get fresh veggies and you help a local farmer. Check out your community calander in your area to see when there are festivals and music shows. I love going to the Art in the Parks and outdoor music festivals. It's a way of getting out of doors and you have a wonderful way of spending the day. Enjoy the summer and blessed be!

    traffic is congested.,robberies ,burglaries ,rallies,

rash auto drivers, hit and run, rowdism, o my god !!!!!!!!!!!!!

enough!!!!Chennai or Bangalore? where do u prefer to work/live if the nature of both the jobs are the same? why?
I have worked in both places. Even though Bangalore weather is better than Chennai (it has changed drastically now and is not the same cool climate it used to be before). If all the conditions are same I would prefer Chennai to Bangalore due to following reasons

    a) Infrastructure is better in Chennai.

By Infrastructure I mean better roads, better educational institutions(schools, colleges and higher centres of learning like engineering colleges, medical colleges etc), medical facilities, better power supply, etc. Bangalore has a lot of power cuts or load shedding still, water problems, congested roads, unbearable driving etc.

    b) Inspite of the water problem, water situation is still better in Chennai than Bangalore.

Chennai City has a better planned development than Bangalore.

Public Transport is better in Chennai (buses as well as surbuban trains) though the autorickshaws are a night mare. But you can really use the trains as it connects almost all the areas in the city to the suburbs.

Shopping is great in Chennai. For the religious minded there are several temples and churches.

Chennai has a better cultural facilities than bangalore. Also there are plentiful real estate in all the good areas for rent or purchase. There are wonderful beaches in Chennai.

If you want to drive away from the city and enjoy the beach that is also possible considering the wonderful stretch available in mahabalipuram and you can rest and relax on weekends in any of the several seaside cottages available.

    I hope this explains it.

    Rgds

I would have put it as Bangalore 20 years ago. As for now it is Chennai, because the great advantage of climate and pollution free atmosphere of Bangalore is neutralised and the city is almost a spent one, where as Chennai holds for future hope for growth.
Bangalore any time.Lots of things going for it.Climate at the foremost.choice of food, transport facilities, and over all the types of residences offered at Bangalore is much more suited than Chennai.
Both are nice places to work. The weather is an advantage undoubtedly in Bangalore, but the traffic sux! People cant be more indisciplined in driving than bangalore, anywehere else in the world. A knowledge hub that the city is, there is no personal enforcement of road manners, mostly by the educated lot. That way, Chennai is far superior.
    Bangalore :

    - Climate is great. Chennai sucks with its stickyness

    - People are friendlier. Kannada culture is more pleasnt than tamil tigerdom

    - More commercial. better hangout spots.

    - Progressive government.
same here I also would prefer bangalore because the the weather which is very cool and nice .The people are very friendly and they don't interfer in others personal life.

You're going to wind up with a hippie chick - if that is the lifestyle you want. You should start trying to meet that sort of woman. You do not want a high-maintenance beauty queen type - she'd go crazy in that environment. Realize the kind of woman you will be looking for - introverted, possibly an intellectual - into reading and writing, not movies or TV - doesn't go to clubs, etc. You will probably luck out at a sporting/camping goods store, a book club, or a whole-foods market. Also try peace rallies and political meetings.
it's good but do u have all the facilities there
i love the nature and everything in it. ive been huntin g since i was 12 and get such a rush out it, but i am taken just letting you know i like the out doors.
i love that lifestyle! id also love to have a cute cottage on the beach in newport oregon. beautiful place. but im still a minor, so cant go out with me.
    yes, im ready
Yeah I've always had a dream of having a small cottage by a lake or river and live a lot simpler. Unfortunately that's unrealistic, but still wouldn't mind buying a vacation cottage that I can escape to from time to time.
Of course there is. This isn't the place to find out tho
That sounds amazing. I'm sure you will find someone.
yes, there is. you just need to find the right group to join... look for a hiking club or an outdoor club. Good luck in your quest!
even though the nature is good and refreshing, i dont think any girls would want to live out there where there isnt many people or protection...but it is good that you would want to go so far out!!!!
Of course. Just don't be unrealistic and expect it from a city girl. If you participate in activities in nature, you will meet girls with the same interests.
maby for a day or 2 , not more
    hahaha....that's funny...lol..
    You Tarzan, me Jane.

  • Basically God is saying to live in touch with mother nature and live in its form..?

so why create man-made disasters such as 9/11? God would not adorn that in any way, shape or form.Basically God is saying to live in touch with mother nature and live in its form..?
The key in this statment is 'Man-Made' disasters.

    Not 'God-Made' disasters.

Humanity was given freewill and it is our greatest gift. Like all great gifts it bears much responsability and is sometimes abused.

Stop blaming God for everything.Basically God is saying to live in touch with mother nature and live in its form..?
???? Because the guys who did that aren't from God.

    Where are you from???
God didn't say that about nature ! Nor did God cause or create 9/11. People murder people ... not God !
Only the fool says that anything can happen outside the will of God.

';I form the light and create darkness,I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things'; (Isaiah 45:7)

It's called sin for a reason. Man of any faith gets into trouble %26amp; causes all sorts of hurt when we reject the revealed words of God in the Bible, and instead pick and choose for ourselves what to call right and what to call wrong. The examples are rampant in our culture, from the drastic horrors of the Holacaust to the rich ';preachers'; who falsely teach that Christianity is about being rich and comfortable.
NO, God commands us to be good stewards of the earth He gave us.

Atheists : Why did nature decide for us to live once ? Any hope it might change its mind ?

Nature can't make conscious decisions.Atheists : Why did nature decide for us to live once ? Any hope it might change its mind ?
    Nature didn't change...we did.

We live once, just like every other species on this planet, as far as we can know at the moment. It's possible that someday, we might find a way to upload consciousness or redownload into a new body or something, but that seems kind of pointless.

Some people view this as the ultimate state of our species, - perhaps like the Humanoid Cylons from ';Battlestar Galactica';, whenever you die, you get uploaded and your consciousness downloaded into a new body.

The problem with this idea is that eventually, your body is new but there are some experiences you will eventually have that you would rather not have had. In this way, I think the natural order of the universe has done us a VERY BIG favor, in this way.

Because our lives are short , we can imagine that love, joy and companionship are enduring and life-long, rather than the reality which is that they are transitory and of-the-moment.

In this way, I think our shorter lifespan is a natural gift that we should embrace more readily than we do, so perhaps you might want to have one or two livetimes, but perhaps there comes a point after being 300 or 400 years old at which point being 20 for the 5th time just doesn't do it any more.

We can imagine that our experiences are novel and that life brings new experiences. That is REALLY the joy of being young, it's not necessarily the fact that you are physically young, so much as you are doing stuff - perhaps for the first time, and that is really the trick to staying young, no matter what your age.Atheists : Why did nature decide for us to live once ? Any hope it might change its mind ?
Better to ask a biologist or scientist of a relevant field. They understand how nature works better than non-qualified atheists. I'm not a scientist but I'd say it's because it's a chemical reaction that doesn't undo itself, eg. if you burn wood to charcoal the charcoal doesn't turn back into a piece of wood. If' there's a type of spirit or consciousness then there's mainly two theories: resurrection and reincarnation. I don't see a reason to believe in either.

Living is a good thing in normal circumstances so it would be nice if nature allowed for an afterlife. If there is no afterlife it doesn't matter because people won't be conscious to realise they don't exist.
Because it hasn't found a way to keep the cells multiplying forever....

the only way is to keep transferring the information (genes) to new vessels...
i just wonder why you think it is better to live multiple lives without taking with any memory of the past experiences. what exactly would be the point?
Nature is not a sentient being.

Our bodies are too complex to not decay over time; entropy did it.
You don't have to look at it like that.

Some people think by having children, in a way, you're living forever.
Of course, Christians know that we will live forever and God was the creator of all nature so he's the one who decides.
You are seeing agency where there is none.
great question! as a believer of GOD i will check back for more answers on this one...
