One of the best things about living in NYC is that we are so close to many of nature's beautiful places!
It is just a short car/train ride to the beaches of New Jersey or Long Island, up to the Catskill or Adirondak mountains, west to the Pennsylvania countryside...etc.
A little farther and there is Cape Cod, skiing in Vermont, camping around the Delaware Water Gap.
It's like having the best of both worlds!
Sure. I've visited most U.S. National Parks in my childhood, and I love to visit the Austrian Alps.
