When people get focussed on self it kills everything, including love, relationships, and self-esteem. Some schools require high school students to do volunteer work in the community before they can graduate. I once thought that was stupid. Now I think it is a good thing because when you do something for someone else for free and don't expect to get anything back from it, you learn to start thinking about someone else. You learn to care about other people. The more you can do for other people the better you will feel, too. Just smile at someone who is having a bad day. Or tell them that you like their shirt. If you see someone lonely just tell them a funny story. Or say something about a good book you read or a movie you saw. Or just tell them, ';You look like you are full of life today. What's different?'; It doesn't cost anything to give away a few kind words. After all, kind words expire at midnight and you can't take them with you. They won't make you richer unless you give them away!

It doesn't take a whole lot of your time to make someone feel good about themselves. But you will find out that when you do that you will feel really good, too. And isn't that what it is really all about anyway? Love is not in existance for you to get something. Love is about making someone else's day special. When you learn that, you have learned a lot!Anybody think that our human nature want always that we have to live ahead than others,is a biggest problem.?
If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if I think that progress is the primary cause for people detaching from each other.

My answer is No. I think that the primary cause is the pursuit of material things in order to satisfy the self or Ego.

Progress has been happening since the beginning of time and yet societal breakdowns have not been constant. I am a spiritualist and do not believe in organized religion. Having said that, I think that the corruption of religion has played a major role in the shift to greedy pursuits. For the vast majority of the worlds population, organized religion plays a big part in their lives. When those religions are smeared with scandal and corruption, people turn elsewhere to find their happiness.

If we, collectively, can finally choose to help the whole instead of helping the self, we will be able to regain the unity that may or may not have once existed.
