Would anybody live without technology? (nature)?

I saw this movie and they mentioned this. People living in a humble village with no electricity, mcdonalds, playstations or computers...etc. They had water mills and that was their source of energy, farmers made their own food and for the rest of the village....etc. I thought about it and didnt think it was so bad, having a relaxing, stress free life doesnt sound so bad at all.Would anybody live without technology? (nature)?
Like anything moderation is the key. I am showing my age here I'm 46 I also seen of the modern world appear before my eyes. No kidding my first phone call was on a party line and you had to pick up the phone and see if others were on the line before placing your call. Typically your neighbors were on the same line as you and you listened for the rings to tell if the call was yours . If your phone was assigned 3 rings you answered when it rang 3 times quickly (your Ring). My Grandma's first call was on a phone where you held the phone to your mouth and held the receiver on your ear (as seen in old movies they were called blowers) Think of it as a primitative chat room.

You can drive by reading a map with out GPS believe it or not. People long ago had a better sense of direction and were much more self sufficient ,on the road way at least. Simple old stopping for directions was useful too.

As for Cell phones there must be something to them ,even the Amish type populations have them. I think however they made people in general more of a zombie. You used to do the store with just a list or simply knew what to buy, you never had to call home to just ask. I think Celll phones in a lot of ways made life more complicated. It was better when you thought your self and made decisions with out calling for advise.

As for Fast food It was once a TREAT you dressed up to go to Mc Donalds soda pop was a treat and not part of daily life and even potato chips were a once in a while treat not a staple of the diet like they are today . The Pressure Cooker on the stove top was the microwave of its day. Get this the fast food restrauants were spotless including the kichens and restrooms. Mc Donalds even advertised how clean their places were on TV (1973). Here is another shocker Drive Thews were never part of the first fast food joints, but some did have car hop service.

The old ways had some advantages but so do the new ones know both and you will apprecite the detials of modern life. Would anybody live without technology? (nature)?
I think I could vacation there. But if you really think about it, technology is SO much a apart of us now. WOuld you be able to survive without your ipod, cell phone? COmputer? And I'm sure it is stressful living on a farm.
I don't think that life is so stress free. If there's no water, everyone and everything suffers. At least when living in a more modern/industrial place, if there's no water, it can be shipped in, and you can go to the store for food. It may seem less stressful because of the lack of the crazy amounts of more up-to-date technology, but I don't think it is.
